Leading a team of approximately 25 covering quality control, test development and compliance, this role will have responsibility for delivering best practice QC methods to the company’s flagship manufacturing site, which has recently benefited from significant investment. The emphasis of the role will be on developing and implementing a QC strategy, optimising QC testing and driving a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of QC. In addition, the role will involve managing the development of new test methodologies whilst working with colleagues across the business to fully address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Candidates, ideally degree-qualified Chemists, will have relevant experience in a similar QC leadership role gained in a quality-critical environment, preferably with a leading chemical (or related) manufacturer. We will also consider candidates working in a relevant downstream product environment – i.e. in the automotive, oil & gas, aerospace, electronic and medical device sectors. The other key requirement is for candidates with a strong, collaborative leadership profile who can deliver sustainable change and continuous improvement through others.
